How does it work?

First time setting

To benefit from the synchronization* function and to sync your DAISHO data with the modified data in your smartphone (e.g. iPhone, Android, Blackberry, WindowsMobile etc.) you have to set up an account on a Sync Server.

First steps:

  1. Get your Activation Code (€ 19,90/year + VAT)
    Get your Activation Code here
  2. Create an Account on DAISHOSync
    Click on this link and follow the instructions
  3. Configure your SyncML Server settings in DAISHO
    Save your new account data in DAISHO via Window > Preferences > Sync;
    enter as URL: "http://daishosync.com/sync"
  4. Configure your SyncML Server settings on your Smartphone/PDA
    Make the necessary modifications on your smartphone*

After you‘ve set up your SyncML server you can immediately sync your contacts, calendar data, tasks and notes.

 *) For Android devices you find a free App "DAISHOSync" in the marketplace

How does it work?

During a synchronization, the data on your various devices – e.g. Smartphones/Handhelds/PDAs and Notebooks/Netbooks/PCs  - is compared to the data on the sync server and the differences exchanged. You should sync changes to the SyncML server often so that the latest data is available to your other devices.

During the sync operation the SyncML Server will realize which device has which data state. Now the user can define which data should be added to DAISHO, respectively the user can decide if and which modifications should be adapted.

Using the SyncML server you can also sync contacts, calendar, tasks and notes from Outlook. In this case, Outlook requires a SyncML interface. Funambol provides an OpenSource SyncML client which is available free of charge.
