The productivity tool, mostly from self-employed and freelancers – has been downloaded way more than 50.000 times from different download platforms all over the world – e.g. on download.com (http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=daisho&platformSelect=Windows&tag=srch&searchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows&filter=platform%3DWindows).
The time management tool DAISHO is aimed to all who work project oriented, flexible and mobile way – especially professionals. DAISHO is based on Java and runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. Recently Daisho Blacksmith, the developer of the PIM application, provided a full version for Linux users free of charge.
“I’m very proud of the trust which we receive from our users. More than 50.000 downloads prove that DAISHO is a striking tool for all who are working in a project oriented, flexible and mobile fashion” says Klaus Wiedemann, managing director of Daisho Blacksmith GmbH. “The Japanese expression Daisho stands for the two swords of a samurai. These were indispensable weapon and mark for their professionalism. As an analogy, our application is meant to be an efficient tool for the modern samurai manager and is designed to support him in his professional business”, he adds.
Enhancement of the PIM tool
„Trust means obligation, this is why we keep on pushing the user oriented enhancement of DAISHO intensively”, explains Klaus Wiedemann. On their its support platform (http://support.daisho-blacksmith.com) Daisho Blacksmith has bundled its international support service and offers an idea pool for customers’ needs and wishes. On this platform users get the option to vote for features: by giving stars, they move up their favorite DAISHO features in the roadmap of the developing team.
Many consultants and freelancers count on the Outlook alternative DAISHO as this can be installed on a USB stick which makes it possible to work on any notebook, netbook or desktop PC. If all versions are installed, DAISHO runs – with one license – on Windows, Mac and Linux. The users benefit from full flexibility. DAISHO also supports the important factor “mobility” in a professional’s life. As DAISHO is not a cloud solution, it can be used offline which allows professionals to turn, for example, their travel time on an airplane into precious productivity. PIM data that is entered on the way in the mobile phone/PDA can be synchronized with DAISHO via a SyncML server – manually or automatically.
DAISHO offers not only a multifunctional email tool but also a powerful time management, professional contact management and intuitive basic functions for a personal project management.
