1. How much does it cost?

Using DAISHOSYNC will be annually charged with 19,99 EURO. You can sync your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes how often you want to.

If you want, you can store your calendar or contact data in your DAISHOSYNC account which makes them accessible for you all over the world - whenever you are online. In this case it also works as a backup of these data.

 

2. Is it safe to use?

Yes, all data is encrypted. Also, you are the only person who can access your DAISHOSYNC backup account, which is protected with your password.

 

3. How do I get started?

I. Create an account on DAISHOSYNC

Simple! Go to the sign up page and follow the 3 steps to create your account.

II. Get your phone ready

Once your account is created, log into your account and go to My Profile to request our settings message to get your phone ready to sync with DAISHOSYNC.

III. Set Up your SyncML server in DAISHO

  • Open DAISHO, select window>preferences>sync,
  • enter as URL: "http://daishosync.com/sync" and
  • fill out your DAISHOSYNC user name and password.

Now you are immediately ready to synchronize your data.

 

4. How does synchronization work?

To sync your contacts/calendar/tasks/notes between your smart-phone and DAISHO you first have to refresh the updated information with DAISHOSYNC (our syncML server). So your latest data are also situated on the DAISHOSYNC account.

Having finished this you have to update the other device by synchronizing it with DAISHOSYNC.

So DAISHOSYNC is always located between smart-phone and DAISHO.

 

5. What type of data can I synchronize?

With DAISHOSYNC you can synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes. The DAISHO sync assistant allows you to choose which of the data and which details should be synchronized.

 

6. Will it work with my mobile phone?

It will work with most of the smart-phones and mobile phones which support SyncML. You can figure out, if your phone will work by checking our list of compatible phones.  Your phone model can usually be found on the battery cover or underneath the battery.

 

7. My phone cannot connect, I get a GPRS message, what does it mean?

Call 1901 to get set up for data.

 

8. How often can I use DAISHOSYNC?

You can sync your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes via DAISHOSYNC as often as you like.

 

9. How many contacts can I backup and restore?

There is no limit to the number of contacts you can back up.

 

10. Can I synchronize DAISHO with more than one phone?

Your account can only be associated with one handset at the time.
So you can only sync and backup your data from and to one handset at the time.

 

11. What happens if my current phone is lost, broken, stolen, or if I upgrade?

Once you have your new phone, log into your DAISHOSYNC account and update your details with your new phone model, number etc. 

A new settings message will be sent to your new phone. Synchronize your new phone and all the data will be restored from your online account to your new phone.

 

12. Can I restore all my contacts onto a new phone even if it is from a different brand?

Yes, as long as your new phone is also a compatible phone from our list, you will be able to sync your data to your new mobile phone and it does not matter if it is from a different brand.

 

13. I travel a lot. Can I use the service abroad?

You can use the service abroad, but data charges are higher when you are abroad, and we generally recommend that you turn off data roaming. 

If you do want to use the service abroad, you will need to have data roaming enabled and switched on.

 

14. Can I answer my phone during a synchronization?

Yes.

 

15. How do I know if a synchronization has been successful?

You will get a message to your handset.

In DAISHO the sync assistant will inform you about the details, e.g. how many entries have been changed, deleted or added.

 

16. How do I contact DAISHOSYNC service team?

17.  I am missing some of my contacts?

Check that the contacts you are trying to sync are stored in the phone memory and NOT the SIM card. DAISHOSYNC backs up data from the phone only and not from the SIM card.

 

18. I have a new mobile phone or number

If you change your mobile phone or mobile number, please log into your DAISHOSYNC account and update your details.

Press Update/Request settings and we will send your new settings to your phone so you can use the service with your new phone.

 

19. I have lost my old phone, how do I get my contacts back?

Once you have got your new phone, log into your DAISHOSYNC account.
Go to My Profile and update your phone model.
Press Update/Request settings and we will send your new settings to your new phone.
Synchronize your new phone and all your contacts and calendar data will be copied to your new phone. (Follow the exact instructions for your new mobile phone using our Backup Assistant tool on the homepage of your account).

 

20.  How do I change my password?

Log into your DAISHOSYNC account; go to the My profile section, update your password and press update/request settings and we will send you new updated settings so you can use the service again.

 

21. Can I back up the contacts stored on my SIM card?

You must first copy your contacts from your SIM card to your phone memory and then backup as normal. Otherwise, the synchronization will appear to have worked, but you will not see your contacts online.
